Well Id actuall put my initial post down to having a bad day first off.

But I really laughed at some of the resposes I got tho. Especially the ones refering to my spelling. Whats the point of commenting on someones spelling??? LOL

I have 2 accounts and Ive played every primary class (Except mesmer getting to that) to 20th level with 3 chars that have finished.

Maybe Im not the greatest player around but I do have a lot of experiance with all the classes and I have a good knowledge of what each can do.

I find that henchies do not do a great job most of the time if you are running with a character that cannot take the aggro. Since u have to aggro things before the henchies act.
Its so easy with a character that can take the aggro its REALLY lopsided!!!
The monk I play is a Prot monk not a healer so she works quite a bit differrent to the usual healer monk.

I have played a lot of missions/quests with only henchies and, like mentioned before, some missions its easier with henchies because they r more under control. (I did Elona reach with henchies the next day and again the next day after that for another guild member)

What I will say is that I often get really stupid players in games, out of every 10 parties id say 1 would be awsome, 1 good, 2 average, and 6 OMG there is a dumb ass or 2 in the party that really $#%^ it up.

Then there is the time when I can sit around for an hour with no invites simply because there r no players around or players that do not realise the usefullness of that type of character.

But I do REALLY Love the game and Im getting a lot of enjoyment out of it.

Zazoo, if I'm on I'll volunteer to help you, I'm usually quite bored. The best way to get good PUGs is to make them yourself and filter the candidates. Those who don't discuss strategy, skills, etc., before the mission should likely be dropped. For example, I walked into Thunderhead Keep, saw crappy teams, made one up on the spot, and beat it one try. You just have to control it yourself.

Use "do it", aka space to target and wand what you want the henches to attack.

Use C or/and tab to cycle the enemys you want to use skills on.

The wand attack and the henches will stay on the called target.

Hey, try getting an infused PuG ready for ice caves bonus...

We probably had about ~15 various party members, all booted after a phrase along the lines of "what is infoosed?".
You'd really think poeple would understand when you resort to yelling in caps "INFUSED PEOPLE ONLY DAMN IT!"

I second that!

Another possible way is to send out a message looking for group of NON-RUSHERS who are willing to discuss skills and strategies for the mission. Obviously when you get people joining, anyone who is impatient to start the mission, is probably going to be impatient in the mission etc...

I joined a group advertising in this way and found that it was the best PuG I have been in. The 'leader' of the group was fantastic and listened to everyones skills before working out a strategy in the mission.

It stands to reason that you will get good groups and bad groups, but just perservere with it!

And think of it this way, after all the bad groups, the awesome group must be a nice surprise!

Personally I've never had trouble finding a group (except for Tombs which takes forever). I've played a warrior, ranger, monk, and elementalist with no problem. What I've found is that as a "smarter" player we should be helping out those bad PuGs and teaching them how to play better. I've played with almost all PuGs through the missions and have had good groups and bad. The best was Elona's Reach when we had have the team drop after a few people died, but then we finished the mission anyway! I think what we need to do instead of trashing n00bs we need to help them out and teach/show them a better way without insulting them and refusing to party with them. I love to go to the low level missions and help out people. It's a great way to help someone out and also maybe make a new friend. Just my opinion though

With my necro I walk the levels its easy with him.

Also I have a guild with a fair number of players and when they r around great & when they r not??

I do find that at sometimes of the day u really get lots of not great players but at other times u will find an abundance of great players. All i was trying to point out is that the game is not what would make me ever quit, the frustration at other players and the inability to play what feel like at the time would. (yea right, I might get frustated but I seriously dont think id REALLY give up GW maybe drinking tho... LOL)

Just looking for opinions.

BTW after posting the original post I went and finished 2 of the desert missions in quick succession. Thirsty river I had a great bunch with me, the dunes an acceptable bunch, then i tried elona dont get me started on that bunch. LOL

thanks for the resposes everyone.
pff i had a monk and uses hench alot, its no problem , tbh its pretty easier cuze all u need to do is healing them a little and they kill for u

Join an active guild.
Make friends and add them to your friends list.
Form groups yourself and be more careful about selecting your PUGs (the retards and the clueless most of the time show signs of retardiness already before you click on enter mission and thus can be promptly kicked to be replaced with normal players!).
Do it with henchies.

so many solutions, yet you don't want to try any of them!

P.S. I love GW
